Sigma Tau Delta
Sigma Tau Delta is an international excelled English honor society for students of English at accredited colleges and universities that grant baccalaureate or higher degrees. It was established in 1924 to confer distinction for high achievement in English language, literature, and writing. The society has over 900 chapters in the United States and abroad.
Erica Welter served as Southeastern Louisiana University's chapter president while earning her Master of Arts in English.

The Gamma Beta Phi Society's watchwords are service, scholarship, and character. The society aims to broaden its members’ academic and philanthropic lives so that they may graduate ready to make a difference in the world. The collegiate honor society was chartered in 1964.
